A letter from Sylvia

Did you know that over 25,000 children die… EVERY SINGLE DAY… of hunger or hunger-related disease? And did you know that over 14 million children are orphaned and vulnerable from the affects of AIDS, and living on less than a dollar a day… if that? We are facing the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time and only active love, not judgment, can improve it.

I am proud to be involved with Compassion International, a Christian hunger relief organization  for whom I represent the needs of children and their mothers when I share a concert or speak at a women’s event.  Wolf and I are proud to sponsor several children around the world and have had the opportunity to visit some of sponsored children and while there, witnessed first-hand how sponsorship literally saves lives.

For less than half of the price of a cup of Starbuck’s, you can bring life and hope into the life of just one child. I’ve seen it for myself. Your dollars will provide such things as food, clean water, basic medical care, a Christian education, and training in lifestyle choices and habits that will help curb the spread of disease

I hope you will choose a child today. Jesus said that when we help children like this, we are helping Him. Just imagine!”
